I'm Michaela. I recently earned my BFA from The Cleveland Institute of Art, where I studied everything from Animation to Fiber & Material Studies. I like ghosts, old things, glitter, awards, bluegrass, floral prints, friendship bracelets, libraries, saddle shoes, paper dolls, banjanimals, Dion & the Belmonts, constellations, the mountains, wildflowers, three-leaf clovers, peter pan collars, gems, and jackalopes. My best friend is 4 years old and in love with a boy named Sam Robinson. I have plenty of pen pals and never enough stamps. I make art about ghosts and singing trees. I should have been born in 1936. Debbie Christensen is my favorite artist. My days begin with hazelnut coffee and end way too late. I have an elephant bank where I keep my pennies and secrets. One day I'll make an animation about my grandpa and his pet bear. Words are nice. I can't stand pompous people. I sit on porches as much as possible. I read too much, but I rarely read books. I like making things, and I need to make a living.
